BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Dr. Christine Zalewski obtained her Ph.D. at the University of Virginia and taught diagnosis, statistics, research methods, psychometrics, and cognitive assessment at the graduate level for over 20 years prior to transitioning to the private sector in 2014. Since that time, she has continued to apply her research background by providing statistical consultation for medical forensic accounting, consultation for educational and environmental organizations, and by contributing to a variety of marine science projects. In addition to her academic activities, Christine also owns and operates a digital imaging and art licensing business, and her artwork has been published extensively both in the US and internationally.

Sanjay H. Velappan is an MBA student at University of California Berkeley – Haas School of Business and an Associate at Foundation Capital where his primary investment focus is in the Enterprise SaaS and Fintech space. Additionally, Sanjay is a student venture partner with the Haas Impact Fund – focused primarily on investing in the Climate Tech x Ocean Tech space. Sanjay’s love for the marine environment was sparked by his first visit to Hawaii, where he began to study and appreciate the coral reef and all of its inhabitants. Sanjay received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration (concentrations in both Finance & Marketing) from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University.

Martin J. Kossoff is Managing Director of Mariner Wealth Advisors, Sarasota, FL, and former Chair of Allegiant Private Advisors, LLC, Sarasota, FL, which was one of the largest independent advisory firms in the Gulf Coast region. Martin was recognized as one of the country's best advisors by Barron's and by the Financial Times. Martin currently serves as a member of three non-profit boards and as an advisor to many others, consulting with them on issues such as fiduciary responsibility, establishment of investment guidelines and procedures, and protocols related to Investment Policy Statements.
